June 22, 2013
Megan and Andrew became friends in the fall of 2007 in trig class during their junior year of high school. They sat across an aisle from each other and would pass notes back and forth on their graphing calculators (which could type letters as well as numbers!). Over winter break, they started to hang out outside of school, and Andrew officially asked Megan to be his girlfriend in the locker bay at school on January 23, 2008 (he waited until that day because he knew he would be able to remember 1/23 for their anniversary and 2^3 is 8). After graduating from high school, they both went to college in Peoria, Andrew at Robert Morris University and Megan at Bradley University. In October 2012, they drove to Florida over Megan’s fall break to visit some friends, and while there, Andrew proposed on the beach! She said yes, of course. Andrew graduated in just over three years in December 2012 with his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration, and is currently working at Excel Foundry and Machine in Pekin. Megan graduated in May 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Megan and Andrew enjoy disc golfing, watching the Bears and the Cubs, eating out at Bob’s, reading novels, and of course watching Arrested Development.
The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors at Andrew’s parents’ house in Pekin (see location tab for address and directions). If it looks like it is going to rain, the wedding will be moved a few miles away to Groveland Missionary Church. If the forecast is calling for rain as the wedding gets closer, please check back here—we will post where the wedding will be taking place.
Dress is informal. Wear sunscreen, bring sunglasses, and pray for a beautiful, sunny day!
Megan and Andrew are registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Wal-Mart. Their kitchen will be filled with brilliant colors: bright blues and yellows. They are currently searching for a home. Therefore, some items may have either been looked over or they simply cannot yet make a decision without knowing what their home will be. Thank you all very much Megan and Andrew look forward to sharing the start of their new life with all of you.
